Wheelersburg High School
Alumni Hall of Fame Biography

Dan Pace
Dan’s primary passion was being a teacher. He taught in the Wheelersburg School system for fourteen years. He took an interest in every student and helped each achieve to the best of his or her ability. The faculty and administrators with whom he worked can relate numerous stories about Dan going out of his way to help a student. More than anything he tried to impart in all students a sense of self-worth by treating each with dignity and respect. Dan extended this same treatment to everyone he met which was the most notable aspect of his character.
Dan was a fine coach, who knew how to athletically challenge young people while helping them to keep winning in its proper perspective. His close relationships with many of his players prompted them to return as adults and seek his advice.
Unfortunately Dan was not with us long enough to accumulate a long list of awards or to reach a senior position in his profession. However in his time on this earth he was a positive influence to countless individuals and especially the students of the Wheelersburg Local Schools.
